I've been addicted to dramas and TV series recently. Maybe that is because I feel there's a huge emptiness in my heart, and I need something intriguing to rely on or something enchanting to escape from my complicated thoughts.
A Netflix series that I watched recently is called Atypical. It's a story about a family, but not only how family members try to interact with each others, also how they deal with different obstacles in their own lives. I love all the characters in the show, not because they are all perfect and can finish everything independently like superheroes, but because they are just human beings like us, I can find some parts of me in every character. They make mistakes, and they would feel heartbroken. Moreover, they have problems they don't know how to cope with, and they have emotions they don't understand, but they also try their best all the time.
Among all the characters, I want to introduce Sam in particular. Sam, who is an autistic patient, is the main character of Atypical. Different from other series placing emphasis on their difficulties in fitting into the society, Atypical takes us deeper to realize how their worlds are like and how they feel the emotions. At first, I was attracted to his nearly stubborn insistence and simplicity. Furthermore, his world are filled with principles and regulations that are "black and white", he couldn't accept why there are gray areas in our lives. However, as the story develops, I gradually found that every action Sam made was just out of pure love for people around him. And that's why his actions are so precious.
